Take in expansive views, not only of Waimea Canyon, but also of the impressive 800-foot Waipo’o Falls, the most famous of the Waimea Canyon waterfalls. In Koke’e State Park, enjoy views over the remote Na Pali Coast on clear days.

On the return downhill bike ride, after you cruise down Waimea Canyon Drive, you will stop at Kekaha Beach on Kauai’s west side. If you opt for the late afternoon option, you’ll be able to admire a blazing sunset over the ocean at the end of the day.
Things to Know About the Waimea Canyon Bike Tour
Since the ride is all downhill, it’s not physically challenging, but you do need to be able to steer and balance appropriately, so comfort with downhill biking is necessary to enjoy this ride.
The downhill biking speed can get up to 20 mph (or more!), so be prepared for an exciting adventure.
The van drives at the back of the group on the way down, to offer some protection from traffic coming from behind.
This guided Waimea Canyon downhill biking tour starts and ends in the town of Hanapepe, located in southwest Kauai. If you do not plan to rent a car on Kauai, you will need to take an Uber or taxi to Hanapepe.
