Is Waimea Canyon State Park free?

Waimea Canyon State Park is free to visit for residents of Hawaii, but non-residents of Hawaii are subject to an entry fee and a parking fee.

If you are a resident, make sure you have proof of Hawaii residency when you visit and you should be all set.

As of April 2021, out-of-state visitors have to pay to visit the Waimea Canyon!

The current entry fee is $5.00 per person. Children 3 and under are free. The parking fee for a standard vehicle is $10.00.

The one entry and parking fee gets you into both Waimea Canyon State Park and Koke’e State Park.

You can purchase Waimea Canyon tickets at machines at the parks.
