You do not currently need a Waimea Canyon permit. Day visits to Waimea Canyon State Park require no reservations, but you do need a permit if you plan to camp in adjoining Koke’e State Park.
There is no camping within Waimea Canyon State Park but you can camp with a permit at adjoining Koke’e State Park. Get information about Waimea Canyon camping.
